Education

The Cincinnati Eye Institute Foundation's educational efforts have focused on eye care professional education.  CEIF holds programs for optometrists which include the latest information in eye disease.  All seminars are cost free to the doctors and provide continuing education credits for them to further their professional knowledge and enhance patient care.

Support for Future Eye Care Professionals

CEIF supports the education of eye care professionals at the University of Cincinnati Ophthalmology medical residents program.

Communities across the country face a critical doctor shortage in the specialty of ophthalmology.  To help attract needed ophthalmologists to our community, The Cincinnati Eye Institute Foundation funds additional resident positions in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine.  During their tenure, these residents work closely with the doctors of Cincinnati Eye Institute who teach and mentor these students.  As a result, many residents have chosen to stay and practice ophthalmology in our community.
